In addition to the classic apprenticeships with vocational school in Obertrum near Salzburg, we also offer the opportunity for dual studies or internships.

At the Forsthofgut, we want to pass on all our knowledge and passion to our apprentices and support them in the best way possible when they enter the working world. As part of the apprenticeship, in addition to the talentJOURNEY training courses, our "apprentice table" also takes place regularly. Here, our apprentices share experiences in a friendly atmosphere. The vocational school is located in Blöcken in Obertrum near Salzburg.

We aim to work together with students on the foundation of their professional development. Interns are our employees of the future, and we would therefore like to share our passion for our profession in the areas of service, kitchen, and reception with them. To ensure that acquired knowledge can be thoroughly absorbed, we prefer a minimum duration of 12 weeks for summer and winter internships for operational reasons. In addition, internships of 4 months or more can be completed throughout the year.

The traineeship at Forsthofgut offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the multifaceted world of the hotel industry. At Forsthofgut, one has the opportunity to get to know different departments and thus gain a comprehensive insight into the operational hotel business. This hands-on approach enables the trainees to identify and further develop their individual interests and strengths before they start their professional life. The motto “learning by doing” is central to ensure that the theoretical knowledge from the training is immediately put into practice.
The F&B traineeship extends over a period of 12 months. During this time, trainees get the opportunity to experience various key areas of the hotel industry first-hand. From the exquisite service in the restaurant to the creative dynamics of the kitchen and the stylish atmosphere of the hotel bar Botanist – the traineeship offers a wide range of experiences. In addition to actively working in the à la carte restaurants such as “silva”, 1617 & Mizūmi, the trainees also get the opportunity to take on their own projects. In doing so, they actively support the departments, assist in the daily business and gain insight into the multifaceted management tasks of the hotel.
The 10-month traineeship offers a comprehensive exposure to various key areas of the hotel industry. The focus is on reception (6 months), reservations (1.5 months), guest experience (1.5 months) and housekeeping (1 month). In addition, one has the opportunity to participate in management tasks and thus gain valuable experience for their future career. The traineeship thus offers an ideal combination of practical experience and sound insights into the various facets of the hotel world.
